Welcome to a new day!

They say Catholic converts are the new zealots, those crazy Jesus people who have nothing to talk about except their faith. They’re walking encyclopedias of newfound knowledge who will talk the ear off of anyone willing to hear them out.

Guilty as charged. (In my defense, had you discovered the fullness of faith after more than 50 years of searching, you’d be a chatterbox, too!)

Hi, I’m Beth Cotter. Devout Catholic, devoted wife, praying mom. doting grandmom.

I’m also a writer of more than 25 years. In addition writing for newspapers and magazines, I’ve authored half a dozen books under two pen names in four distinct genres. I’ve written about war and bourbon, exploding seltzer cans, and the aunt who ate all my Halloween candy. (True story.) And I expect I’ll continue to write fiction and nonfiction.

So what’s different?

I’m not the same woman I was when those books were written. I see the world through a different lens. My faith anchors me to my North Star in a way I never could’ve imagined. These days, it invites me—challenges me—to share the greatest gift I’ve ever received through the stories that God has entrusted me to tell.

At the end of the day, I’m simply a pilgrim trying to make it to our true home with God. I hope you’ll share the journey with me.
